COVID-19

As you know, the COVID-19 pandemic is dramatically impacting our world and resulting in an aggressive effort to contain the spread of the virus. Even though its effects are fluid, we at Lindstrom Chiropractic Clinic are staying proactive. Dr. Lindstrom has connected and stays connected with trusted medical sources to closely monitor developments and additional procedures to reduce potential transmission of COVID-19.

Some precautions we are taking to decrease exposure/spread of COVID-19 are:

  1. Established and follow a thorough cleaning process for all areas of the office, including the waiting room, reception area, exam rooms and restrooms.
  2. We do not allow staff members who are sick, have been sick or have sick family members to come to the office.
  3. We will have a detailed conversation by phone with our patients on the day they're scheduled to come in, and ask:
    1. If they or anyone in their family has a fever, or has had one in the last two weeks. The incubation period can be as long as 24 days.
    2. Have they or family members had any symptoms of a cold or flu? Symptoms include fever, tiredness and a cough that isn't necessarily productive. They may also have or have had aches and pains, runny nose or nasal congestion, and vomiting or diarrhea.
    3. Have they traveled abroad in the last two weeks?
    4. Have they been near anyone who has potentially had the virus through their own family or work contact? People can be contagious without symptoms.
  4. Stagger appointments to allow time for thorough cleaning between sessions.
  5. Ask patients to wait in their car (rather than the waiting room) until it's time for their appointment.
  6. Ask anyone accompanying the patient to wait in the car during the appointment if possible.
  7. All excess material (magazines, brochure, candy basket, etc.) have have been removed from the waiting area/reception area.
  8. After each patient treatment, all equipment is sanitized (exam tables, chairs, door knobs. Class III laser, electric stimulation, etc.)
  9. All employees will wash their hands in between patients.
  10. Employees wear gloves while sanitizing equipment.
  11. Employees wear masks when with patients.
  12. Provide 60-95% alcohol-based sanitizers to patients and staff.
  13. Practice social distancing
  14. We will help educate all patients on COVID-19 protocols.
These procedures along with taking care of yourself helps ensure your well-being. However, caring for yourself is the best thing you can do for your overall health. Keep yourself in good shape by getting plenty of sleep, being physically active, drinking lots of water and eating a nutritious diet.

According to American Chiropractic Association, "Doctors of chiropractic are primary contact healthcare providers who provide essential care, including, but not limited to, managing acute and urgent musculoskeletal conditions. These services are critical for helping triage and manage cases that otherwise may end up in emergency rooms."

In response to this fluid and rapidly developing situation, we believe it is vital that we make every effort to helping you stay healthy.
